Physics is at the heart of most of the technological innovations that surround us (lasers, LEDs for lighting or flat screens, GPS, magnetic memories, micro-sensors, nano-devices, etc.) and is at the heart of many of society's challenges (energy, environment, health, etc.).
OUR TRAININGS
LICENCE
The bachelor's degree in physics prepares students for entry into master's programs in the fields of physics and physics-chemistry, through a generalist training in physics, mechanical chemistry and mathematics. This training emphasizes the fundamental, applied and experimental aspects of the concepts taught. Please note The first 2 years of the bachelor's degree are taught at the DLST (Département Licence Sciences et Technologies) in Grenoble or at the DSDA (Département Sciences Drôme-Ardèche)in Valence.
The Master of Physics is a top-level program that draws heavily on Grenoble's wealth of teaching and research staff, cutting-edge facilities (Large Instruments: ILL, ESRF, IRAM, CERN) and internationally recognized host laboratories. It enables students to acquire all the conceptual foundations of modern physics, and then to specialize in one of the fundamental or applied physics tracks, so as to push back the frontiers of knowledge or become players in intelligent societal development.
