Nanoscience and nanotechnology

Training
Nanoscience studies the manipulation of matter at atomic, molecular and supramolecular scales, and the influence of this multiscale structuring on electrical, optical, mechanical, chemical and biological properties. Nanotechnology is the application of this science to new nanomaterials and nanodevices that exploit the tailor-made design possibilities of these materials. These scientific disciplines lie at the interface of physics, chemistry, materials science, microelectronics, quantum information and engineering, biochemistry and biotechnology.

OUR TRAININGS

MASTER

The Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies Master's program draws on the many research units and industries in Grenoble working in this field. The program has a strong international character, with courses taught in English and integrated into the Erasmus Mundus EMM-Nano+ Master program (KU-Leuven, TU-Dresden, UB Barcelona, Chalmers Goteborg, UGA Grenoble), Double Degree agreements and two thematic programs (Soft Nano and Quantum) at the UGA Graduate School*. It prepares students for careers in both academic research and industrial R&D departments.
The Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies master's degree is co-accredited byUniversité Grenoble Alpes, Grenoble INP and the Catholic University of Leuven.
The courses on offer reflect the richness and interdisciplinarity of the program:
