LICENCE

The Civil Engineering degree is a three-year course. The first year is shared with all the Engineering Sciences, then specialization in Civil Engineering is introduced progressively in the 2nd and 3rd years, while maintaining a very solid scientific base.
Please note: The first 2 years of the bachelor's degree are taught at the DLST (Département Licence Sciences et Technologies).

MASTER

The Civil Engineering master's degree provides scientific, technical and professional skills in the field of civil engineering, particularly in the calculation and dimensioning of structures under static and dynamic loading, in the mechanics of geomaterials (soil, rock, concrete) and in multidisciplinary project management.

FOR WHICH PROFESSIONS?

Civil engineering covers a wide range of construction sectors, from individual and collective housing to industrial buildings and engineering structures. It is also involved in urban and regional planning. It involves programming, designing, dimensioning, building and operating structures using different materials such as reinforced concrete, wood and metal.
These structures have to withstand static loads as well as exceptional dynamic stresses such as earthquakes.
The professions involved are varied, from design office to construction site, and cover design, programming and monitoring of works, construction management and quality control, maintenance and management of built assets.
A concern for environmental integration is at the heart of these project management and urban engineering professions.
