The PhITEM Department offers partnerships with European universities that lead to a dual degree. Upon completion of the program, students who have achieved the required grades are awarded a degree from each university.
For a dual degree:
The curriculum is defined and approved by the dual-degree agreement.
The student participates in classes and takes exams in accordance with the host institution's rules.
In Europe, all of our partners use ECTS credits.

Erasmus Mundus is a program designed to promote European higher education, improve its quality, and foster dialogue and intercultural understanding through cooperation with third countries, while contributing to the sustainable development of higher education in those countries.

Erasmus Mundus Master's Program in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (EMM-Nano+)
This program offers international training in nanoscience and nanotechnology at the Master’s level.
Students coming to study at UGA receive a joint degree from KU Leuven and UGA. It offers incoming and outgoing exchange opportunities, particularly for UGA students wishing to participate in an international exchange during their first year of the Master’s program following their bachelor’s degree. Master’s scholarships are available to cover the costs associated with this international exchange.
